NinaSom is a baby sleep-sound app with an age-based daily reference and a sleep log for parents. NinaSom does not require an account or operate a server for the content you create. Baby profiles and sleep records stay on your device.

Data stored on your device

NinaSom uses Apple storage frameworks to keep the information you enter locally. This can include a baby's name or nickname and date of birth, sleep sessions, favorite sounds, saved mixes, timer choices, reminders, and app settings.

NinaSom does not send that content to a NinaSom server. There is no account, login, cloud sync, or app-operated backup. Your own iPhone or iPad backup may include local app data according to your Apple backup settings.

No account

NinaSom does not ask for an email address, phone number, username, password, or real name. You can use the app without creating an account or providing contact information. Purchase and analytics services automatically assign pseudonymous app or installation identifiers, as described below; those identifiers are not your name or contact details.

Content-free, pseudonymous product analytics

NinaSom may send product events to PostHog to understand whether core flows work. Examples include finishing onboarding, starting the first sound, viewing a paywall, a purchase result, reaching a free limit, or opening a gated feature. PostHog assigns a pseudonymous device or installation identifier, and NinaSom uses the pseudonymous RevenueCat app user ID as the PostHog distinct ID. This allows events and purchase-funnel steps to be correlated between sessions without a NinaSom account, real name, email address, or phone number.

These events do not include a baby's name, age or birth date, sleep records, sound or mix names, or text you enter. They include the release channel and standard technical product context supplied by the analytics SDK.

Purchases

Apple processes NinaSom Pro purchases through In-App Purchase. NinaSom uses RevenueCat to validate subscription status, such as active, trial, or expired. RevenueCat assigns a pseudonymous app user ID used for subscription functionality and purchase-funnel analytics. Apple and RevenueCat receive the purchase information needed to process and validate the transaction. NinaSom does not receive or store payment-card details.

Campaign measurement and tracking permission

NinaSom includes the Meta and TikTok App Events SDKs to measure paid campaigns. These SDKs remain completely disabled until an adult finishes onboarding and any initial offer, then grants permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt.

If you decline or tracking is restricted by the system, Meta and TikTok are not initialized and NinaSom continues to work normally. If you allow tracking, these partners may receive a device identifier (including the advertising identifier when iOS makes it available) and content-free interaction events such as app launch, onboarding completion, first value, offer view, and purchase result. They use this data for attribution, campaign measurement and optimization, and retargeting audiences.

These events never include a baby's name or age, sleep records, sounds or mixes played, microphone audio, or text entered in the app. Apple's aggregated AdServices and SKAdNetwork measurement remains separate from ATT consent.

Notifications

If you enable bedtime or nap reminders, NinaSom schedules local notifications on your device. They do not pass through a NinaSom server.

Audio and permissions

NinaSom supports background audio so a selected sound can continue with the app in the background or the screen locked. If you voluntarily enable Listening Mode, NinaSom asks for microphone access and analyzes short frames locally to decide whether to start the selected sound. It does not record, save, or upload microphone audio.

Children

NinaSom is made for parents and caregivers, not for use by children, and is not distributed in the Kids Category. An adult controls any baby-related information, which remains on the device.

Sharing and sale

NinaSom does not sell personal data or share a baby's data for advertising. The limited service sharing is the operational processing described above: Apple and RevenueCat for purchases, PostHog for pseudonymous analytics, and Meta/TikTok for campaign measurement only after ATT authorization.

Apple classifies the authorized Meta/TikTok use as tracking because those partners may combine app data with data from other companies for advertising or advertising measurement.

Your controls

• Delete baby profiles and sleep records inside the app.
• Disable reminders in NinaSom or in iOS Settings.
• Decline ATT or change tracking permission later in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
• Delete the app to remove its local data from the device.
• Manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple account settings.
